Happy October!?? I cannot believe that Fall is upon us already. I haven't been feeling great so I am still playing catch up from posts I drafted but never finished...I am feeling better now, so I may end up bombarding my own blog! ( famous last words..)
So, on to the project! This was one assignment for Scrapbook Circle September using the main kit 'Hello, Hello.'
My challenge was to use the Scrapbook Circle exclusive 3x4 cards that are part of the September kit and this is what I came up with!
I don't do project life, so I knew I would be using the cards in a different way. I loved these number & icon circles from Pretty Little Studio and thought they would be a perfect compliment to this photo collage I created of my children from the first day of school.
I decided to adhere the circles randomly over the white cardstock background, but didn't want to make it too chaotic & take away from the photos. I used a tiny circle punch, 1/2" I believe, to punch both the black & white and colored chevron cards.
At first I tried to make it random, but by type 'A' personality came out and I glued the punched circles on top of the numbers that are older than my children. I know, it's silly, but I was doing a comparison between the two photos and I didn't want to include numbers in the teens! I guess I'm not ready to go there, even in paper! ;)
I did use the 20 & 15 number circles for the year on top of a sticker for this years pic. I also used the scrap piece of the black & white to layer under my journaling tag. I also stitched through the black and white card punched circles that were layered. I love the 'let them be little' sticker...so perfect for this page!
Hopefully I will be more consistent in my posts now and will be filming some more videos! I am also in the process of doing a major purge of supplies and will be both selling and giving away boxes of products! So, check back for more updates on that!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Fabulous page! LoVE the comparison. They change a lot in five years!! Loving the circles!!
