#dream. - Scrapbook Circle November Kit

This is one of my favorite pages from the November Scrapbook Circle Kit - 'Home Sweet Home'

I loved this photo and thought this gorgeous paint strip paper from Maggie Holmes was a nice
contrast to the red in the photo.  And the Scrapbook Circle cards that are part of the kit have
that  rich ochre color.  A bit more fall-ish, but I still get to use those lovely aquas! :)

A lot of the die cut files, also part of the kit have hash tags in front of them do I had to
use one with the title.  I have been using paint strips for years to help tie in colors to patterned
papers without adding to much pattern.  And now there are papers and die cuts doing the
same thing!  I love it! So, I added one of my own paint strips to tie in the ochre color and
painted the #thankful die cut tag from SBC in that same color.

I wanted to keep it pretty simple and not take away from the photo and that beautiful
paper but I cut it tapering it down in a stair step to give me a place to tie on some watercolor
drips.  I was thinking of falling into sleep, where the colors are brighter and then fade into a darker
blue or teal...That may be a bit of a symbolic reach, but that is what I was thinking! ;)

The November Kit is full of a wide variety of patterns and colors that all work together.
And some of them, I would never think of but there are little details to tie them all into one kit!
As usual, Lisa did a great job!  Go check it out on the Scrapbook Circle website and visit
the Idea Gallery to see how the rest of the DT used this lovely paper.
